Copper Outdoor Lighting

The beginning of Copper Lighting started in the 1956’s. The company Halo Lighting Company was founded with the desire to manufacture their lighting fixtures so they would be attractive, simple and easy to install, with easy service.

Their modest beginning was in a one room facility with six product lines.

In 1987, January I, Copper Lightning was formed. The year of 1993, a facility in Mexicali was opened to cooper-lightingbroaden capacity. In September of this same year Fail-’safe, one of the leading manufactures of high-abuse, clean room and vandal resistant lighting products was purchased Also in this same year , Copper Lighting opened a new facility in Ellaville to expand capacity on the Fluorescent operations.

In May of 1996, Copper Lighting built the Consumer First Center in Peachtree City, Georgia. This decision was made to support continued growth and to better serve the customers. The consolidation of the Eastern U.S. warehousing and the distribution operations into a 485,000 square foot “Consumer First” Center for sales and distributing. The state of the art facility is designed to improve customer service with the “one stop shopping” for all lighting product lines while reducing costs and increasing productivity.

December 1997, Copper lighting acquired a New York manufacturer of emergency and recessed lighting products, this was AtLite Lighting Equipment, Inc. October 1998 included the purchase of Lumiere Design and Manufacturing. This Westlake Village, California based company was a manufacture of outdoor landscape lighting and specialty lighting products. November 1998, Copper Lighting was able to obtain the exclusive marketing and distribution rights for Super Vision’s innovative fiber optic products that was serving the architectural lighting in North America. April of 1999 saw the New York based Neo-Ray Products, Inc., which was a major manufacturer or the indirect fluorescent lighting products to be acquired by Copper Lighting. July 1999, Corlite Products Inc., of Denver, was also acquired. This company was a manufacture or innovative architectural outdoor fluorescent lighting products. Also Emerald Lighting of Roselle, Illinois was acquired. The end of 1999 saw that Regent Lighting was acquired. Regent Lighting was one of the top sellers of residential outdoor security lighting fixtures in the home centers across the country.

The year 2000 saw Sharper Lighting be acquired This was a privately held manufacture of specification grade residential and commercial outdoor light fixtures. 2001 saw that Copper Lighting had successfully completed the transition of the corporate headquarters to the new home in Peachtree City, Georgia and the opening or The Source also.

Copper Lighting is still located in Peachtree City, Georgia. They have become a leading manufacture of recessed and track lighting in North America. Copper is also one of the largest fixture manufactures of fluorescent, H.I.D., incandescent, exit and emergency, vandal resistant, landscape and complex, environmental and sports lighting Copper Lighting is a strong force with thirteen strong brands along with ten manufacturing facilities throughout Canada , Mexico and the United States.
